Hey, I’m Holly, and here is my story...

I have loved to draw as far back as I can remember, I’m pretty sure it was kindergarten with a silly little picture of clouds and the sun...

My mom, who I watched do sketches, water color, oil paint, stained glass, and paint large scale murals, influenced me the most. She taught me perspective and depth of field and an abundance of other art skills from simply watching and trying to copy her.

Throughout school I was always doodling and drawing instead of paying attention, with the exception of art class, ha-ha. After high school, I did take some college art classes.

Then I got caught up in the restaurant industry full time, and didn’t do much art, although I didn’t give it up entirely either. I do have to say though, that kind of work gave me a priceless education in work ethics and customer service (I’m sure that some of the work ethics came from mom too-- thanks mom!).
It was one day at work, waiting tables, when an old friend from Jr. High came in for dinner. I asked him what he’d been up to, and he said that he owned a tattoo shop on the Newport bay front. It was then that the light bulb went off! After that it was all about studying the industry and figuring out how to make it happen.

With some hard work and persistence, I finally got my “permanent color technician” license in early 2008. Since then I have been working for the same company with which I was licensed through, out of Redmond.

I enjoy and appreciate all kinds of art and art styles. I am a very eclectic person; I would hate to have to tie myself down to one style of anything. I take pleasure in working with a variety of people and all of their diverse ideas.

I am now looking forward to working in Bend, and excited, and honored to be working with some truly amazing artists!
